Biography

Kerry Torrens is a nutritional therapist with successful clinics in Surrey and Hampshire. She works with private clients of all ages, providing one to one support to help them achieve their individual nutritional and health objectives. Kerry also provides a nutritional coaching service available to clients nationwide which provides ongoing telephone and email support. She has a special interest in female health, weight management and sports nutrition and is a registered member of the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners.

Kerry studied at The Institute for Optimum Nutrition, one of the UK’s foremost nutritional institutions and is continuing her research with a masters degree in Nutritional Therapy at Middlesex University. As well as her private practice Kerry is the resident nutritionist for www.beyondbakedbeans.com as well as www.moodfoodcompany.co.uk and is a contributing author to national magazines such as the BBC Good Food magazine, Optimum Nutrition and Healthy.

In addition to her client work Kerry is frequently asked to present to professional associations and charities. She also works with TV and media companies, food writers, catering institutions and advises businesses on nutrition related issues.

What’s your involvement with Soulmate?

I provide a nutritional coaching service working one-to-one with clients. This includes providing ongoing support whether it be face to face, by telephone or email.

What do you do for fun?

Run with my dogs over the Surrey hills.

Who did you want to be when you grew up?

I never wanted to grow up!

What’s your favourite childhood memory?

The magic of Christmas morning!

If you were a superhero who would you be and what super powers would you have?

The Milky Bar Kid with the power to make everyone smile.

If you could have a one to one with anyone who would it be and why?

My mum because we just don’t get enough time these days…

Describe the happiest moment in your life

There have been many happy moments but, being an eternal optimist, the best is yet to come!

If you were an animal what would you be?

It would have to be a dog because I respect their loyalty and unquestionable devotion.

What are you most grateful for?

Everything—from my health, my fitness to the roses in my garden…

How are you going to make the world a better place?

Supporting my clients, friends and family to make the choices that lead to good health, fitness and above all a zest for life!
